A schoolboy aged 13 is battling for life having been confirmed as having coronavirus after developing a rash and bloodshot eyes.
At first, Lewis Greig’s family thought the young teenager had a bug when he suddenly fell ill with a high temperature, but no dry cough.
His condition deteriorated, he started to show other symptoms, including a rash, red swollen eyes and vomiting, and was taken to hospital in Aberdeen before being transferred to ICU in Glasgow where he tested positive for Covid-19.
His family spoke to The Evening Express to urge parents to be aware of the warning signs.
Lewis is in a critical but stable condition and is showing signs of improvement.
