Twice the number of recoveries than new infections in Spain’s Balearic Islands

THE Balearic Islands have seen twice the number of recoveries from coronavirus than new infections in the last 24 hours.
Friday’s Health Ministry figures reveal another 14 people on the archipelago have tested positive for Covid-19 since yesterday, while 34 have seen off the virus.
Total infections now stand at 1,875 and recoveries add up to 1,081.
On the negative side four more people have lost their lives to the illness, bringing the total number of deaths to 172.
In all 166 coronavirus patients have required intensive care treatment since the start of the pandemic. There have been no new admissions since Thursday.
