Benalmadena essential workers to receive rapid Coronavirus testing this weekend on the Costa del Sol

THE councillor for Personnel, Joaquín Villazón, has announced that since yesterday (Thursday) the Benalmádena Town Hall is using the rapid serological detection tests of Covid-19 on its workforce. “The tests will be carried out only on essential services workers, who have remained on the street or are in contact with the public during the days of the State of Alarm caused by the pandemic: Local Police, Fire, Operational Services, Cleaning and Social Services, mainly.” In total, 350 tests will be carried out. “It is important to have reliable and specific diagnostic tests that can identify people infected with the virus, as well as those who have generated protection against it,” Villazón said. The tests are being held at the Arroyo de la Miel sports centre until April 27, between 8am and 2pm. Those attending will keep the safety distance between 1.5 and 2 metres at all times and will attend the test with a surgical mask.
