Spain’s Cartagena on Costa Blanca sees Vile ‘Quit Home’ Note to Supermarket Worker as Neighbours Fear Catching Covid-19

A SPANISH supermarket worker’s young son has found a note pinned up in her Cartagena apartment block telling her to get out of her home because she could spread the coronavirus.

The shocking message was addressed to Miriam Armero, who is part of a whole army of supermarket workers across Spain providing a vital service during the pandemic.

Not surprisingly the note had no name attached, and her son burst into tears believing that his family would have to leave their home.

“We ask you, on behalf of your neighbours and “for the good of all” to leave your home while the State of Alarm continues, and they have seen that you work in a supermarket and they not want any more risks,” the note said.

Armero replied with a video on social networks and left another note next to the first one in which she asks for more “empathy,” instead of “so much applause at 8pm.”

She said that her job is exposing both her and her family to the risk of getting the coronavirus, and that hygiene is a priority for her like not kissing her children until she has thorough disinfected herself.

She pointed out that thanks to her work, her neighbours can eat “every day.”

Miriam added that she is not going to denounce her community of neighbours, because nobody put their name to the note.

“The whole episode was cowardly,” she commented.
