A VELEZ-MALAGA man answering insistent rings at his door was jumped on by three youths who stabbed him.
They were there to collect an unpaid debt, revealed the National Police who were sent to a property in the north of the town after a neighbour contacted their 091 number, explaining that a man had been stabbed.
Three young men, presumably the injured man’s attackers, had fled when he arrived, the neighbour said.
After identifying the alleged attackers, police located the man believed to have carried out the stabbing at a health centre where medics were dressing his wounds.
Meanwhile, the injured man who had been stabbed in the leg and an arm, was admitted to hospital.
The two other men were arrested the following day and initial enquiries suggest that the victim owed money to one of his aggressors.
All three now face charges of causing bodily harm.
