CAROLINA ESPAÑA, an MP in the national parliament called on state broadcaster RTVE to repeat Easter Week processions from previous years.
Presenting a non-legislative motion España, who represents Malaga, said this would be an opportunity for the Cofradias (Brotherhoods) to experience Holy Week “in the best possible manner.”
Re-showing earlier processions would not entail a great deal of effort for RTVE, the politician pointed out as the recordings are the broadcaster’s own resources and already archived.
“This doesn’t hurt anybody and at the same time it does a great service to hundreds of thousands of Brotherhood members,” she said. “At the same time it publicises and promotes our Holy Week.”
