Eliminating insects and rodents, credit: Alfaz town hall
AS it does each spring, Alfaz Town Hall has begun fumigating to eliminate insects and vermin. These regular campaigns are the only sure way of preventing plagues of insects and rodents inside the town’s sewers and storm drains once the warmer weather starts, explained Alfaz’s Town Planning councillor Toni Such. Operatives from Hidraqua, the concessionary responsible for the local domestic water supply and main drainage system, have started in Alfaz and are gradually working their way down through Albir and as far as the beach. This does not include the town’s urbanisations where fumigation and disinfestation will be carried out during the second phase of the campaign due to begin on June 22, Such said. Hidraqua also published this information on their web page and on Twitter so that householders can take the necessary steps inside their homes while fumigation is carried out.
