ADRA council has confirmed what was a foregone conclusion that this year’s municipal Easter Week celebrations have been suspended “due to the health crisis the country is going through at this time”, but there is a social media alternative.
The decision not to try and hold the Semana Santa processions was a unanimous one by the municipality’s Easter brotherhoods, the Inmaculada Concepcion parish church and the local authority in order to follow the health authorities’ recommendations on containing the coronavirus.
As an exceptional alternative however, the parish church has invited the faithful to follow live on its @parroinmaculadaconcepcionadra Instagram profile what will be acts of worship at the times each procession was programmed.
On the same channel it will broadcast the planned celebrations of Holy Mass and Easter services, as well as the Stations of the Cross each Friday at 8.15pm.
