Spain registers SHOCKING 3,500+ spike in COVID-19 cases in just 24 hours – new total jumps to 17,147

Spain has registered a shocking spike of more than 3,500 Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the new total to approximately 17,147, today.

According to Spain’s Ministry of Health, the number of deaths resulting from COVID-19 cases has also increased to 767 in just one day – that’s a 30% increase from just yesterday (150 deaths).

Practically all the regions in Spain have registered dramatic increases in new cases. Here’s a breakdown of the number of Coronavirus cases registered across the country (including deaths from the disease) from Spain’s health authorities:

  • 6,777 in Madrid (498 deaths)
  • 2,702 in Cataluña (55 deaths)
  • 1,190 in País Vasco (53 deaths)
  • 921 in Valencia (24 deaths)
  • 1,008 in Andalucía (23 deaths)
  • 801 in Castilla-La Mancha (42 deaths)
  • 868 in Castilla y León (29 deaths)
  • 468 in La Rioja (5 deaths)
  • 482 in Navarra (4 deaths)
  • 453 in Galicia (4 deaths)
  • 292 in Asturias (1 deaths)
  • 281 in Aragón (15 deaths)
  • 241 in Extremadura (8 deaths)
  • 220 in Canaries (3 deaths)
  • 169 in Baleares (2 deaths)
  • 167 in Murcia
  • 83 in Cantabria (1 deaths)
  • 23 in Melilla
  • 1 in Ceuta
