Five men fined in Tenerife for defying 'lockdown' measures to "play ball"

Costa del Sol steps up surveillance of public & hospitality establishments in Phase 1 of de-escalation.

Five men on the Spanish island of Tenerife have been fined for breaking isolation rules to play sport while filming themselves on Instagram.

The men broke the lockdown to go play with a ball on a sports court in Guimar and post a picture of themselves on the social media app, with the hashtag #yomequedoenlacalle, which means ‘I stay on the street.’
The group face a fine between €600 and €30,000 for breaking the lockdown measures.
