“I’m entirely isolated here on the savanna, it’s just me and the animals,” he says. He took the drastic decision to leave his family behind in Sweden at the beginning of March, fully supported by his wife and kids.
“I don’t want to go home until this pandemic is under control. At my age and with a lower immune system, you get a bit scared,” he explains. “The emotional side of this is the most difficult. I don’t know how long I’ll be separated from my family. This could probably take a while. Änd even if I should want to go home it’s not possible any more. There are no flights.”
