Earlier in the week we reported how ex lower league footballer Ed Jones was defiant that he would make his regular trip to Spain’s Benalmadena as he told the Euro Weekly News how it would not affect his plans.
Welsh man Jones plans have collapsed despite his claims as his flight to Malaga has now been cancelled by the Spanish airline.
He told the Euro Weekly News this morning ” I’m gutted the virus has clearly beaten me, I guess I tempted fate with what I said, the airline contacted me offering a refund or a different flight at a later date, I had no choice but to take the second option, I didn’t think it would come to this and I’ve taken some real stick off my pals” he said.
“Oh well, the virus has beaten me and my plans, now staying at the Bon Sol LLanharry for the week now, fridge is stocked” he joked.
“On a serious note though I hope everyone stay’s safe and well and I look forward to seeing you all in April”
