First Spanish Towns Placed On Lockdown by the Authorities in Catalonia Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic

WE ARE NOW GETTING REPORTS OF THE FIRST SPANISH TOWNS BEING PLACED ON LOCKDOWN BY THE CATALONIAN AUTHORITIES IN THE WAKE OF THE RAPID SPREAD OF THE DEADLY VIRUS IN THE NORTHERN PARTS OF THE COUNTRY.

The Catalonia government has decided to close the entry and exit to the following areas in the region:

Igualada, Conca de Ódena, Vilanova del Camí, Santa Margarida de Montbui, and Odena.

These are the first Spanish towns to shut down all incoming and outgoing travel, in a drastic attempt to try to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

If you must travel to the area you are advised to first contact the Mossos d’Esquadra, which is the Catalonian Police, for more information.
