THE Torrecardenas in Almeria city has joined the network of hospitals testing for the detection of the coronavirus in Andalucia.
The hospital started carrying out the tests for suspected cases of Covid-19 on Friday, Junta de Andalucia delegate in Almeria Maribel Sanchez announced.
The delegate called on the public to act responsibly in the face of the coronavirus crisis. She said it was essential for people to help the administrations with their efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19, citing as an example limiting the number who visit family or friends in hospital.
“We are going to give information with maximum transparency with the aim of citizens remaining calm”, Sanchez said in reference to the avalanche of notifications about restrictions on public gatherings, the suspension of sporting and cultural events and the temporary closure of schools and municipal facilities.
