Coronavirus: Cristiano Ronaldo posts emotional message to his 207million Instagram followers

With the world coming into the grip of coronavirus fear, star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo posted an emotional message to his 207 million followers on social media, where the Juventus player urged everyone to follow the guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to stay safe in the time of the deadly virus that has taken lives over 5,000 people worldwide.

“I speak to you not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the world,” the Portugal footballer said.

“Protecting human life must come above any other interests, Ronaldo added in his post. I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own lives at risk to help save others.
