Several fashion retailers from Zara to H&M have announced that they will temporarily shut their stores across Spain from tomorrow to help contain the Coronavirus.
The Inditex Group – which includes fashion retailers such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Stradivarious, Pull & Bear, Berksha, amongst others – has this evening confirmed that it will temporarily close approximately 1,500 of its stores across the country. The Group says it is acting on recommendations from the country’s various authorities to prevent further spread of the virus.
The Tandem Group, which owns brands such as Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’s secrets and Fifty, has also announced that it has made the ‘socially responsible’ decision to temporarily close its stores across the country until further notice.
Swedish-owned H&M will also temporarily shut all its stores in Spain from tomorrow. These ‘temporary’ closures follow the Prime Minister’s ‘state of emergency’ announcement earlier today, in order to confront the country’s health emergency, caused by the Coronavirus.
