Spain’s Benalmadena Residents On The Costa Del Sol Hit The Panic Button As Coronavirus Confirmed

As we the Euro Weekly News revealed exclusively last night, Benalmadena has its first case of Coronavirus with a patient isolated at the Xanit Hospital in the Costa Del Sol Town.

The Hospital have now confirmed in a press statement this afternoon that the patient has contracted the potentially life threatening virus raising the numbers along the Spanish coast.

Panic is setting in along the coast as whilst people followed the news from around the world  on the virus it has now landed on expats door steps and going by other reported cases likely to spread.

Ed Jones from Benalmadena told the Euro Weekly News ” I saw your article last night of the possibility and hoped it wouldn’t be true but I see the hospital have confirmed it and it looks like we better start taking action for prevention”

” I never thought it would come to this in Benalmadena – I thought we would be safe here, but it doesn’t seem the case and I’m starting to question who I’ve been in contact with who appeared to have colds or flu, I’m no spring chicken and it seems us oldies are the ones it kills” said Barry Watkins who lives on the marina of the town”

The 72 year old infected man currently in Benalmadena’s hospital is a resident actually from close by Torremolinos and it’s not yet known where he contracted the virus whilst doctors now investigate this.

Dr Rupert Hayman told us ” Whilst panic will set in now everybody needs to remain calm and follow the Ministry Of Healths advice sheet on avoiding contracting the virus”
