THE cancellation of the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB) due to coronavirus risks has done little to dampen the determination of Rincon de la Victoria Council, which had planned to attend.
Instead, the Mayor, Francisco Salado, said the local authority will ‘maintain its tourism promotion campaign’ in Germany, digitally, pointing out that more Germans visit the town in the latter part of the year than any other nationality.
He said: “This is thanks to the important tourism promotion that is being carried out, and demonstrates the relevance of being present in the German market with actions that publicise the quality and variety of tourist attractions in Rincon de la Victoria.”
The Department of Tourism intends to develop a digital campaign which it will extend to Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.
Similarly, the town will feature in the ‘Viva Andalucia’ supplement of German newspaper Tagesspiegel.
