A GHOSTLY story packed with laughs and music will be the latest show to hit the boards this spring for the Stagestruck Theatre Group. Following on from the success of their Christmas pantomime Cinderella, The Haunting of Hogsbottom Manor will be performed at San Fulgencio ́s Cardenal Belluga Theatre between Thursday May 21, and Saturday May 23. Rehearsals are in full swing for what Stagestruck promise to be a very funny show, which tells the tale of somebody who buys a haunted theatre and decides to stage a play that he wrote himself. The new owner, Jeremy Amberton, encounters a couple of bored ghosts called Cecily and Betty, who end up being entertained by the likes of famous detective Monsieur Parrot, the medium Madame McCarthy, Perkins the Butler and dotty Elsie, the maid. Add two pretend ghosts into the mix, and plenty of fun is promised in this latest Stagestruck production. The show will also feature plenty of dance numbers including what is promised to be a very unique version of the Mary Poppins classic, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Once again Stagestruck will be donating all the proceeds from the performances to local charities, and tickets, which include a free drink on arrival, are priced at ten euros.
Tickets are on sale at Cards and More, La Marina; The Post Box, Doña Pepa, Quesada; and The Card Place, Benimar. Phone reservations can be made by calling 695 092 181.
