Affectionate pickpocket gang in Spain’s Marbella caught

Market in Marbella: Real estate is predicted to experience a slight crash but quick recovery.

A gang of pickpockets, that has been stealing from elderly men in Spain’s Marbella has been caught after 15 months of investigation.

Young, well-dressed women approached elderly men, often over the age of eighty, to ask for help or directions. The women were very friendly and affectionate, but what the men did not know was that the hugs and caresses were a ruse to be able to get away with their wallets or watches!

The gang has been operating in different areas around the Malaga province and also in Levante.

Six thousand complaints regarding this type of theft have been made during recent years in Spain. The gang was a part of a larger organisation and 42 people were arrested.
