‘Beautiful, kind and sweet’ Bhanvini Pravin was today named by murder detectives probing the killing as a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of her murder.
The family of a young woman stabbed to death at a house in Leicester, England, say their lives have been ‘ripped apart’.
Bhavini Pravin’s “devastated” family today released a photograph of the 21-year-old as officers worked to uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Bhavini’s family released a statement through Leicestershire Police tonight.
“As a family, we could never have imagined that one day we would be issuing a tribute to Bhavini under such circumstances,” they said.
Our world has been ripped apart by her death and we can’t believe she has gone. A light has gone out in our lives.
“Bhavini was a devoted daughter and sister, loved by all who knew her. She was beautiful, kind and sweet.
“Our lives will never be the same without her.
“All we can hope for is Bhavini to be at peace and for our request for privacy to be respected.”
Emergency services were called to the property at around 12.39pm on Monday.
Officers responded to reports a woman had been seriously injured inside but she was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later by paramedics
A post mortem examination has since concluded Bhavini, who was aged in her 20s, died as a result of stab wounds.
Leicestershire Police said officers have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries and collecting CCTV as they piece together the moments leading up to the young woman’s death.
