Gas explosion injures three men in Spain’s Marbella

Three men have been injured as a result of a domestic gas explosion at a Marbella apartment, in calle San Antonio, during the early hours of this morning. The explosion caused a fire, injuring three men aged between 42 and 80.

Emergency services were alerted by neighbours around 2.30am after they heard an explosion. Health department sources have confirmed that two of the injured have been hospitalised. The 49-year-old has been taken to Hospital Regional de Malaga, and the 80-year-old has been transferred to Hospital Comarcal Costa de Sol. The third injured man, aged 42, received medical attention at the scene only.

The gas explosion has caused extensive damage to the flat, leaving glass and rubble throughout, according to the firemen at the scene.
