IT’S quite a journey from Gibraltar to the Falkland Islands either travelling to the UK and then on to South America with changes, or via RAF Brize Norton with a refuelling stop in the Cape Verde Islands.

This is however the journey that Minister for Justice and Equality Samantha Sacramento took so that she could attend the Commonwealth Women’s Parliamentarian Association conference in Falkland’s capital, Stanley.

Whilst there, she joined in the World Thinking Day celebrations with the local guides as Guides Ambassador in Gibraltar and took the opportunity to meet the Rainbows, Brownies, Senior Section and Leaders on that day.

The Minister addressed the Rainbows and Brownies and spoke to them about Gibraltar as they were each presented with Rock of Gibraltar pin badges and gave a framed set of Gibraltar stamps to the Chief Guide on the Islands.
