Man With The Coronavirus in Barcelona, Spain, Says “It’s Like A Regular Flu”

Although Catalunia still has relatively fewer cases in total than Madrid, the acceleration of new cases is worrying.

The young man of 31 years who tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday (Tuesday) and is isolated at the hospital La Plana de Vila-Real, has sent messages to his closest friends, assuring them that he is fine and that the symptoms are like the normal flu.

“Don´t worry about anything,” he says, “everything is under control. I’ll be quarantined in the hospital for 14-15 days, maybe less, because I’m very little affected. It’s like a normal flu, it’s only controlled because of the epidemy right now, nothing more. I’m sending you this message to calm you down, don’t worry. I love you.” he says in the first message.

In his other message, he continues to calm his friends and family by continuing: “People talk a lot, but you can be sure that I’m fine, It’s a normal flu. You treat it with Paracetamol. That’s it.”

The authorities in Spain are assuring that the protocols to contain the coronavirus are functioning, and wants to convey a calming message to the Spanish citizens. The fear of the virus is more dangerous than the virus itself.
