THE Mallorca government has presented its calendar of sporting events for 2020.
Consell de Mallorca President Catalina Cladera and Tourism and Sports councillor Andres Sierra headed the presentation staged earlier this week at the island administration’s offices.
They revealed a line-up of activities for the year which marks the 25th anniversary of the delegation of responsibilities for the area.
Among the novelties are four activities aimed at families and children. The ‘Senderisme i Serra’ is all about hiking routes in the Tramuntana mountains, while the ‘Jornades Generacionals 3G’ is aimed at bringing together three generations: grandparents, parents and children.
The idea of ‘Cicloturisme actiu’ is to combine sport and sustainable mobility, and ‘Jugam al Nadal’ is to celebrate the federations with agreements with the Consell.
The presentation, which was attended by representatives from sports clubs and federations, included the showing of the audiovisual work ‘La victoria de los valores’ (The victory of values).
