Parents are frustrated over delay of new primary school

The Department of Social Policies, Family, Equality and Health of the Town Hall of Almuñécar has made public the result of the drawing contest “Colour your Rights”. This year the motto was “Children’s Participation: We want to be heard”, in which a total of 158 schoolchildren from first to sixth grade of the La Noria, Arcos de Torrecuevas and Las Gaviotas schools have participated.
The winner of the contest was Ana Castillo Rodríguez (fourth grade), from CEIP Arcos de Torrecuevas, while the finalist was Guillermo Maya Barranco (sixth grade), from CEIP Las Gaviotas. The mayor of Social Services, María del Carmen Reinoso, and the deputy mayor, Juan José Ruíz Joya, congratulated all the participants and especially the winners.
“The winning drawing and the finalist one will be used as an image of the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents and the Municipal Plan for Children of Almuñécar and La Herradura,” said Reinoso. In addition, she has stated that this drawing contest is another work tool to help our children understand their rights and responsibilities.
