Presentation of the IV Colour Run.
The image of previous years is in the retina of hundreds of inhabitants of Motril, in Axarquía: non-competitive sport, fun, possibility to enjoy it with the family and a cloud of colour enveloping the three kilometres of urban layout of the famous Motril Colour Run. A sports event with which the city will celebrate Andalusia Day on February 28. The deputy mayor of Sports of the City of Motril, María Ángeles Escámez, and the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Ortega, have presented an event that “exceeds its sports dimension to become a social event in the city.” Escámez has highlighted, in addition, that although the race will be at 12:00, “from 9:00 the children will be able to enjoy incredible activities that will be located in the Ronda del Mediodía, in which there will be all kinds of inflatables spaces dedicated to sports,” said the mayor. The urban circuit is three kilometres in total, with five paint and two foam launch points being planned. “We will not say where they are to make it a surprise for the participants,” says Escámez. On the other hand, Ortega announced that registrations can be made online and in person at the municipal pavilion between February 24 and 27. Also, on the day of the race, participants can register from 9:00 to 11:30. The registration has a cost of 3 euros per person, and each participant will be given a pair of glasses and coloured powder.
