Kirk Douglas with son, Michael
Kirk Douglas has reportedly donated his entire £61m fortune to charity following his recent passing, leaving none for his son Michael Douglas.
The iconic actor passed away on February 5 at the impressive age of 103. After his passing, he has taken care of those in need of some help.
Reports suggest that Douglas will be donating his entire fortune to the Douglas Foundation, which aims to ‘help those who cannot otherwise help themselves.’
The foundation offers support to several beneficiaries, including St Lawrence University – where they fund a scholarship for minority and underprivileged students. In addition, the foundation funds Culver City’s Kirk Douglas Theatre, a live performance venue, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
It is thought that son, Michael, will not be receiving any of his late father’s wealth, which isn’t an issue for Michael as he is worth over $250m.
Michael announced the passing of his father on his social media earlier this month.
“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103.”
Kirk was one of the last surviving stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age and had a total of 92 acting credits.
