The Croemcar initiative of Croem (Regional Confederation of Business Organisations of Murcia) promotes a change of trend in the way of travel to work centres through a car sharing app. Now two more companies of the Costa Blanca have joined the project, Estrella de Levante and Postres Reina.
In this way, informative and awareness actions will be carried out that will be aimed at their workers, so that they will learn about carpooling or car sharing. This is a more efficient and sustainable alternative to the usual displacements to work, and nowadays it is gaining strength among the main Spanish capitals.
The director of Energy and Environment Optimisation of Estrella de Levante, Juan Antonio López, believes that this initiative comes at a good time as a result of the emergence of new forms of mobility. In addition, he recognises the importance of its promotion and the responsibility that companies have in contributing to an environmentally sustainable future.
On the other hand, the general director of Postres Reina, José Manuel Lag, believes that this initiative is a novel project in the workplace. Through the Croemcar app and “with just a couple of clicks, it will be possible for the company’s workers to find companions for their daily journeys and thus reduce the vehicles in circulation that travel to the company, as well as the CO2 emissions that these emit to the environment. “
