A 13-year-old boy ended up being chased by police after taking his friend’s parents’ car out for a ride.
Traffic officers chased the car through Manchester, England in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Moments earlier, they had received a report that the white Mercedes had been stolen.
After a short chase, they managed to stop the vehicle.
But they were shocked to discover a 13-year-old was behind the wheel, while the owners’ 14-year-old daughter was in the passenger seat.
Both were arrested and are taken into custody.
GMP’s traffic account tweeted: “Merc reported as stolen just moments earlier was recovered following short pursuit with #GMPSCIU #traffic through Atherton (Manchester).
“To our shock the driver was a 13yr friend of owners 14yr daughter both of whom had taken it out at 4am for a “ride”!! Both are ‘now in custody”
