Just a few days after A Judge ruled that Qatari businessman Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani was removed as president of Spanish club Malaga for six months the club has now been placed into offical administration.
Al Thani bought and took over the running of Malaga CF, 15th in in 2010 when in the second tier of Spanish football.
The club went onto sign a series of high-profile signings such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, Santi Cazorla and Joaquin and the club qualified for the Champions League in 2012 under former West Ham and Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini who himself recently got the sack after leading the Hammers to a relegation spot.
Malaga CF were forced to sell their best player shortly after the Champions league success due to financial difficulties, and they were eventually relegated in 2018.
Now they face another nail in the coffin unless a buyer is found for the stricken club.
