The Euro Weekly News sadly understands that a family have been killed near Fort William Scotland including a young baby and a 3 year old girl along with their parents.
The family were travelling in their Mini Cooper on the A82 at Torlundy near Fort William.
Police have confirmed the dead mother was just 26 years old and the father 25.
The other car involved was a Ford Fiesta driven by a 56 year old lady who was freed from the wreckage with serious injuries which are deemed not to be life threatening.
The road has been closed for over 11 hours whilst police continue with their investigation and they appeal for any witnesses to come forward. They are also interested in anyone who has dash cam footage that could provide evidence to the investigation of this awful incident.
