HUNDREDS across Europe are out of pocket because of a major mistake made by UEFA when offering more tickets for the Euro 2020 football tournament.

Its initial online offering was a sell-out but because a number of people didn’t pay for them, those were put back on sale and fans immediately placed orders.

Having been successful, many then booked flights and accommodation (often non-refundable) only to receive an email several hours later saying that the tickets had been sold in error and the order was cancelled.
