DONATION: Group of Friends’ Di Hiden presents Little Owls founder member Cathie Ringrose with the cash raised CREDIT: Almanzora Group of Friends

THE Almanzora Group of Friends has given a helping hand to Arboleas-based voluntary support group Little Owls with a generous cash donation.
Group of Friends representative Di Hiden did the honours of presenting Little Owls founder member Cathie Ringrose with the money.
The Almanzora Group of Friends is a membership organisation based in Albox.  Every year they donate the proceeds from their Monday charity quiz to a charity or charities of their choice.
This year they have given a third of the cash to Little Owls, which provides emotional and practical support to people with physical or mental needs. The other two thirds are divided between the two Albox branches of Caritas, an organisation belonging to the Catholic Church which is dedicated to fighting poverty, exclusion, intolerance and discrimination.
