EVIL STEPMOTHER: Jailed for beating 6-year-old stepson leaving him black and blue

A WICKED stepmother has been sentenced to two years in prison after savagely beating up her stepson, leaving him with black eyes and severe injuries.

Ludmila Simon, 27, beat the child black and blue to take revenge on his father after having a row, reports said.

Evil stepmother beat stepson until he was black and blue

Simon attacked young Vanya a year ago, when they were home alone.

The boy’s father, Ruslan Skorkin, 31, told local Ukrainian media: “I came home and saw my son beaten to a pulp.”

“Ludmila said that he fell and injured himself.”

Despite Vanya’s serious condition, his parents did not call an ambulance – hoping he would recover on his own.

But the next day, the boy, then aged six, felt worse and was finally taken to hospital.

Doctors from Vinnytsia Regional Children’s Hospital alarmed the police after seeing Vanya’s black eyes and horribly swollen head.

Shocked medics said the boy could not open his eyes and his head was “square-shaped from beatings”.

A source in the hospital said: “The child could barely stand on his feet and was covered with severe bruises all over his body.”

“The boy was admitted to the hospital in a grave condition. He was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, concussion and multiple bruises to his face, back and limbs.”

Speaking to police officers, both parents tried to cover up the incident at first claiming “the child fell from the bed while playing and injured himself.”

They only revealed the truth when forensic examinations showed Vanya’s injuries were inflicted by an adult, investigators said.

According to reports, she assaulted the child “to get back at his father after having an argument”.

After the sentencing hearing, she commented: “I understand that I’m guilty but the court’s decision is wrong and not fair.”

Vanya, whose vision slightly deteriorated following the ordeal, is now living with his grandmother, who said he is now doing well and was pleased to reunite with his younger sister.
