A man arrested in Vélez-Málaga for committing seven robberies in bars and restaurants

According to many of the country’s hospitality associations, the Government’s de-escalation phased plan, will simply lead to thousands of restaurant and bar closures.

The National Police have arrested a man in Vélez-Málaga for his alleged involvement in seven violent robberies in bars, cafes and restaurants in the town, committed in recent months.
The 50-year-old suspect took advantage of the night hours to enter the establishments. These robberies were aimed at cash registers, electronic devices and bottles of alcoholic beverages. In most cases, the alleged author entered the premises after forcing the access doors and then stole money from the cash registers, as well as other valuable objects.
In a search conducted at the home of the arrested, the agents have found the clothes that he apparently wore in one of the robberies. This investigation has allowed researchers to clarify seven violent robberies committed in the establishments of Vélez-Málaga in the last months.
