The large e-commerce company continues to expand in Spain. Amazon will open one of the main logistics and distribution centres next to the Murcia airport, creating 200 jobs in the first phase. When it expands its facilities, the creation of a total of one thousand jobs is expected.
The 48,000 square meter facilities are being built in the Southeast Logistics Park, next to the Murcia-Cartagena highway, an excellent location. In addition, the logistics centre will have a warehouse of 8,000 square meters for the distribution of products.
Amazon’s new logistics centre in Murcia will begin operations in May. The second phase of the expansion will take place in the medium term, and it is intended to turn the region of Murcia into the great logistics centre of Levante and part of Andalusia.
