Flagstones will have to be changed again
CONTRACTORS for the Avenida del Pla pavements were told to remove the flagstones and replace them with the promised material. When Isabel Bolufer, Javea’s Public Works councillor complained that what was installed did not correspond to the contract, the company claimed the original flagstones were unavailable and they had used an alternative of the same quality to avoid delays. The town hall replied that it wanted the original paving and insisted that the substitute was removed and replaced with the correct flagstones. Work started earlier this week and should be finished, a town hall spokesman said, while apologising for the inconvenience to residents.
