Above average blood banked in Costa Blanca’s La Nucia

THE second Blood Donation collection of 2020 at the Pinar de Garatia Health Centre in La Nucia attracted 38 donors, 33 who were suitable and three people who gave blood for the first time.

La Nucia has a monthly average of 30 donations, ‘so this February donation was above the average,” said a spokesperson for Valencia’s Transfusion Centre.

The medical service in the province of Alicante requires 250 donations daily to carry out operations, transfusions, treat cancer patients etc.
