Roadworks mean long way round in central Benidorm, Costa Blanca

AVENIDA DE BILBAO closed temporarily for road works in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca earlier this week. Paving is being replaced at the entrance to the street during the complete remodelling of the Avenida del Mediterraneo and if all goes according to schedule, the road should reopen to traffic on Saturday, February 22.
During the days when Avenida de Bilbao is closed, this may be accessed only by residents of buildings on Avenida de Alcoy. Meanwhile, drivers wishing to enter the Old Town or the front line of the Levante beach must do so via Calle Dr Perez Llorca.
