A man has been found dead in a river as flooding and landslides affect South Wales, which police have described as “a major incident”.
The man’s body was recovered from a river in the Swansea Valley, as rivers across the south of Wales burst their banks.
Met Office have issued a red warning, as wales has seen a months worth of rainfall in just 24 hours.
On Sunday afternoon, Police in the Swansea Valley of Ystradgynlais said a man’s body had been recovered from the River Tawe after reports of someone falling into the water at 10:00 GMT.
South Wales police and rescue services have been dealing with “multiple” floods and landslides, homes have been evacuated and more than 80 flood warnings and two severe warnings are in place following continued rain from Storm Dennis.
