Caroline Flack was terrified about police bodycam footage being shown in court and warned officers she was suicidal

It has been reported that Caroline Flack warned police officers that she would take her own life.

Suffering mental health issues, Caroline was on anti-depressants and was terrified of her upcoming trial. She was accused of assaulting boyfriend Lewis Burton in December 2019, and was haunted by the thought of having a ‘show trial’.

Friends have said she hoped the trial would not go ahead, and that she was tormented over the idea of a jury being shown police ‘body cam’ from that night. They have also asked if prosecutors, medical professionals and her former bosses at ITV had missed chances to save her.

A court had heard police found the pair covered in blood, and that Miss Flack had cuts to her wrist. The revelations about her mental health promoted questions about whether she was given enough help to tackle her depression and panic attacks.

However police have refused to say if they had referred the star to mental health services.
