65 children fall ill at a ski resort hotel in Spain’s Girona

A GROUP of children between 7- and 17-years-old have fallen ill at a ski resort hotel Spain’s Girona.

A total of 65 children and 8 adults have been struck down with gastroenteritis at the Guitart Hotel, located near the Pista Llarga area of ​​the La Molina ski resort.

On Wednesday, several children were reported to be vommiting and suffering from diarrhea, abdominal pain and a high fever, with a medical team from the Puigcerdà Hospital Foundation being sent to the hotel to provide on-site care. Just a few hours later, two teenagers were admitted to Cerdanya Hospital’s Emergency Centre.
