50th World Earth Day will be celebrated big time in La Cala de Mijas Costa del Sol Spain

The La Cala de Mijas Lions in conjunction with the Ayuntamiento de Mijas and MiMoana, will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day which is designated as Wednesday April 22 with a series of events being held in La Cala.

Full details are not yet available but there are a number of dates to put in the diary if you are interested in taking part or enjoying the activities.

Tuesday March 3 at 11am there will be a Tree Planting morning

Wednesday April 22 at 11am to celebrate World Earth Day there will be a fancy dress parade through the streets of La Cala with the theme of Earth, Fire, Air and Water

Saturday April 25, La Luna beach at 11am Beach Cleaning followed with stalls and an open air concert from 4pm by the La Cala Torreon Watchtower.

Sunday April 26 stalls will return and there will be a 2.5 kilometre Eco Walk along the board walk with the warm up starting at 11am and the walk itself kicking off at noon.
