Students attending the course
AS Spain becomes more alert to the need to be as inclusive as possible for all people including those who face physical challenges, the youth department in Alhaurin de la Torre has introduced a Spanish Sign Language Course.
There are two groups, one aimed at those under 35 and the other without any age limit and each group meets twice a week for two hour sessions.
The course lasts 30 hours in total and once completed, the students should be competent to hold detailed discussions with those who are profoundly deaf.
