Nerja City Council approved, in an Ordinary Plenary Session on Friday 7 February, the Ordinance regulating the procedure for the granting of “express licences”, simplifying the processing of minor work licences that do not require a project, limiting it to the mere presentation of a Statement of responsibility.

The Councillor for Town Planning and Housing, Nieves Atencia, has thanked the municipal technicians for their involvement in the work of drafting the Ordinance.

Atencia has also highlighted the double advantage of this new regulation “because not only will it allow the processing of minor works to speed up, but it will also relieve the work of the municipal technicians, allowing them to concentrate of processing of the rest of the urban development dossiers”.

The implementation of the express licenses is one of the electoral commitments made by the PP (Conservative party) in the election campaign.
