Spain’s Healthcare Reassures That The Second Detected Coronavirus Case In Spain Does Not Signify An Increase Of Risk To The Population

THE director of the Coordination Centre for Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, has stressed in a press conference that the second case of Coronavirus in Spain, detected in Palma de Mallorca, does not mean an increase in risk in Spain, because the patient was infected abroad.

The director of the Alert and Emergency Coordination Centre of the Ministry of Health, Fernando Simón, assured that the British citizen who tested positive for the coronavirus in Palma de Mallorca is “healthy” and isolated in the Son Espases University Hospital.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the patient is in “good health,” with practically no symptoms.

Although the family of the British citizen has tested negative for coronavirus, Simon has highlighted that the rest of the family “may have been infected and not yet positive.” A follow-up test will be done in the next few days.
