RASCALS are a social and theatre group working for the community and raising money for local charities. They began in 1993 when a small group of friends from La Siesta decided to meet up regularly for social events. Deciding they wanted to raise money for charity and entertain people they started to put on shows in local bars, squares, theatres and venues, and have now raised thousands of euros for different charities. Only last week they presented Afecancer with €450 that they had raised from some of their most recent shows.

Sadly, in the last couple of years, the Rascals numbers have dwindled from their heyday in the 2000’s when they had over 70 members. They are presently putting together their next show and are looking for new members across all areas. Rascals are having an Open Day at Sacko’s Bar, El Limonar on Monday, February 24 from 11.30am to 1.30pm. If you would like to be involved, whether front of stage singing and dancing, behind the scenes or just to enjoy the social scene go along to the Open Day, enjoy a complimentary coffee, have a chat with a Rascal (or two) and see what they’re all about.
