Man attempts to murder partner in Spain before reporting her ‘disappearance’

A WOMAN is fighting for her life in Spain after being brutally beaten by her partner who allegedly attempted to hide his crime by reporting her disappearance. 

As reported by Mataró Local Police, a man has been arrested after launching a horrific attack on his partner on Friday, February 7. It is understood that after the assault, the man called the 112 emergency services to report his partners disappearance.

As per protocol, police officers went to the property listed on the report to obtain more details about the ‘missing woman’ and upon entering the home they found the victim unconscious on the floor suffering from severe head injuries.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the woman is reported to be in critical condition in hospital. The man has been remanded in custody charged on suspicion of attempted murder and Mataró Local Police are treating the crime as a case of gender-violence.
