THE National Police have confirmed that the biological remains found on Tuesday morning (February 4) in Valencia, Spain are that of an undeveloped foetus.
The shocking discovery was made by a resident on Calle Guillem de Castro, near to the Institute of Modern Art (IVAM). Investigators working on the case state that analysis has determined that the remains are of a poorly developed foetus and placenta which may have been left after an abortion was performed without medical assistance.
It is understood that a blood trail was also found at the scene which led to a park near to the towers of Quart which went into the gardens of the Túria – both areas that are frequented by homeless people.
Officers had examined CCTV footage and have identified the person who allegedly dumped the remains which they state was a young man who had been lying on a bench in the area for some time before.
As Euro Weekly News understands, police are now trying to locate this individual to determine the exact circumstances behind the event.
